DOG ALMIGHTY

Stunted Records are proud and excited to announce that DOG ALMIGHTY have joined their roster
The amazing self titled album from DOG ALMIGHTY will be released in the UK on
Mon 23rd March 2009
DOG ALMIGHTY rose from the ashes of Norwegian band SPAN, who were previously signed to Universal Island, selling 55,000 records worldwide and pretty much touring the world non stop for 2 years before calling it a day in 2005.
In January 2006 Joff, Kim and Fred along with new singer Sindri formed their band, Dog Almighty. They experienced a creative explosion which turned into 13 kick-ass songs. When they wrote lyrics they sat down and discussed the topic they would write about for hours, before putting it into words. That way they can stand tall for every word and feeling about the topics that engage them. They then started building their studio where they've spent 100's of hours producing their album. And what an album it is - intelligent lyrics with songs that rock - throwing metal, punk and hardcore into the mix without losing sight of melody and dynamics.
Already released in Norway, every cover is hand made by the band. No bullshit. That means that if you buy the CD in the stores, your copy will have their fingerprints all over it, but there are only 1000 copies of this limited edition sleeve up for grabs so when it gets its UK release in March 2009 you will have to be quick !

OUT IN UK STORES TODAY - 3RD SEPT 2007!
DESPERADO - "THUGS"

"F**king hell this is a good record. Loaded with jagged riffs and snarling attitude and shot through with a ton of unforced melody, Desperado well and truly hit the spot.......this is an abrasive and accomplished record that demands attention from start to finish. Brilliant" - KKKK Kerrang 1/9/07 for the rest of the review.
We've been overwhelmed by the awesome Press reaction, check some of it out here :-
Kerrang issue 1174 1st Sept 2007 KKKK
RockSound issue 100 Sept 2007 ( half page feature review ) 7/10
Tuned issue 5 Sept 2007
www.dieshellsuit.co.uk
"The album’s full of head nodding sing-a-long post punk songs, and I reckon the band would be a force to be reckoned with in a live environment. There’s almost boundless energy, and there are some meaty riffs to contend with".
www.new-noise.net
‘Thugs’ is a good name for Desperado’s second record. It is a wantonly aggressive album. It doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process as it hurtles its way unstoppably to punk rock Valhalla. It is brazen and violent, it is loud and nihilistic. It does what it does and it does it well. Desperado take Refused as their template and then sprints off in its own brutal direction. They are no mere copyists though; they add some thick sludgy grooves and some danceable beats to keep things fresh."
www.subba-cultcha.com
"Highly acclaimed Norwegian hardcore types are back with a new album which is shaped in such a way as to alarm pretty much anyone with a rock radar."
www.unpeeled.co.uk
"Listening to this is like watching a ballerina decimate a panzer division with tissues, real power, real beauty and real brutality...Thugs is a brilliant hard rock album"
www.theplasticashtray.co.uk
"Desperado have a cracker of an album in Thugs. Whilst not being so light-hearted, it shows 11 songs which have so much passion and drive you’d be a fool to dismiss them. Each track has measured guitar breaks and clever melodies pitted against an extreme screamo vocal approach. This is violent, blood soaked hardcore for those disheartened with the world."
www.audio-democracy.com
"high-energy hardcore punk, ‘Fehu’ is the first real signal that Desperado have matured as a band as it launches into guitar riff that wouldn’t be out of place on a modern Deftones record"
www.punkscene.co.uk
"This is the music of an experienced band who know exactly what they're doing, which is creating dramatic and excellent music."
www.vanguardonline.f9.co.uk
"It’s loud, scream, shouty and very very hoarse. It’s a healthy slab of attitude, however, and cleared the cobwebs out of my head after a day of listening to corporate bullshit at work."
08/08/2007
Desperado's new release "THUGS" will be on sale in UK Shops from 3rd Sept and reviews are starting to come in.

"with standout tracks proving even the darkest of hardcore can still be a dance anthem, this is a superbly engaging record" - Rocksound - read the full review in this months mag

KITE another bunch of Norwegian Rockers who blow our socks off are about to relaunch. The last couple of years have been taken up with singer Ronny playing a major guitar role in Stonegard, Ronny has now got KITE back on his agenda - We just got this blog from Ronny, so watch out for a UK release and tour this year via Stunted Records ! We were at that last gig in Manchester - it was a killer.
Go check them for yourself - here: KITE's MYSPACE
And here's Ronny's Blog
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Kite relaunch??
oh yes.
Someone has been playing with their ouijaboards and summoned some really scary ghosts from the past..
The last two nights I have been rehearsing and rocking with the old KITE-tunes again, and it seems like I`ve found a collection of great guys to fill in the roles.
And goddam it sounds great!
And FEELS great to play them old killer tunes again!
As a matter of fact these songs haven`t been played at all since december 2004, but I`ve now found out that most of them sound just as cool today as they did back then, in Manchester on our last gig.. or better..
And with this new trio-lineup, I guess the snowball will start rrrrollin`..!
So what now??
I dunno. But it is something good, bad, ugly and fucking amazing all at once...
The KITE monster will soon again terrorize the world with it`s kickass rock-n-indie-core circus....
so beware!
..more about this later
Now go enjoy the sun!
Skål! "
